Sean Nederlof

Dancer

Sean Nederlof is an outstanding performer born in San Francisco (USA). After coming from a background of street dance, acrobatics and Tae Kwon Do, Sean studied Ballet, Contemporary and Modern dance at UCSB and earned a BFA in Dance.

For five Years he danced professionally in New York City as a contracted dancer with HT Chen & Dancers and Abarukas and freelanced for companies such as Pilobolus, J Chen Project and Seymour::DanceCollective. While in New York, Sean performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center, American Dance Festival, the Alvin Ailey Dance Center, Jacobs Pillow, 92nd Street Y, Kaatsbaan International Dance Center, Judson Church and many others. He toured with companies across the US and to other countries, including Italy, Greece and the UK. This past year, Sean was invited to perform a solo as a part of the Internationales Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart and the Gdansk Tanz Festival. He was awarded the prize of Audience Choice for Best Solo Performance at the Masdanza International Festival for Contemporary Dance and participated in their Extension Tour as well. During the season 2019/2020 Sean is a guest performer at Sash Waltz & Guest in Berlin Germany.

Since 2019 Sean is a member of Juliette Rahon & Co Ensemble and will perform in the new creation "La dernière Sarabande - ou l'obsolescence programmée" .
