Yasmin Schönmann

Dancer

YASMIN SCHÖNMANN is a dancer, choreographer, curator and film maker from Germany, with a Diploma in Dance from Iwanson International Munich and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance and Technology from the acclaimed Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Yasmin has received aseveral scholarships such as Pina Bausch Company in Wuppertal (Germany), Palamós Summer Dance in Spain, and J CHEN PROJECT in New York City.

She worked with internationals Choreographers like Patrick Delcroix (NDT), Caroline Finn (National Dance Company Wales), Jan Kodet (National Theatre Prague), Minka Marie Heiss (Kompanie Hausgemacht), Juliette Rahon, Jessica Chen, Yoshito Sakuraba and InTW dance. Later that year she founded the dance company Y+Y Dance together with Yuriko Hiroura. Their work has been presented at venues such as Battery Dance Festival 2016, MMAC, Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, Jack Crystal Theater, WMAC and Salvatore Capezio Theater in New York, as well as at the InHale Series in Philadelphia.

Since 2019 Yasmin is a member of Juliette Rahon & Co Ensemble and will perform in the new creation "La dernière Sarabande - ou l'obsolescence programmée" .
